We’re proud to share our recent collaboration with PVF Trade, s.r.o. from the Czech Republic, where we were entrusted to produce a detailed expert report for a four-axle service flat wagon equipped with a cogwheel brake.

• Comprehensive Review: Our team conducted a thorough analysis of all input documents against the stringent AB-EBV requirements from the FOT guidelines to ensure full compliance. 
• Expert Reporting: We compiled an expert report on the wagon’s brake suspension tests, meticulously verifying compliance and functionality. 

Our efficient and comprehensive review process not only streamlined PVF Trade’s authorisation procedure but also enhanced the safety and reliability of their rail vehicle operations. By managing all aspects of documentation and adjustments, PROSE significantly alleviated organisational burdens for our customer.

We are proud to announce the successful completion of our latest project with HeiterBlick GmbH, where we provided crucial expertise in the assessment of running dynamics for the new trams in Dortmund, under the stringent regulations of BOStrab. 

What was this project about? 

• Collaboration: PROSE worked closely with the technical supervisory authority of North Rhine-Westphalia (TAB NRW) and HeiterBlick to define the scope of verification. 
• Expertise: Our team, including Dr. Johannes Keudel and EBA-approved expert Stefan Bühler, meticulously assessed the tram’s dynamic behavior to ensure compliance and safety. 
• Outcome: The new vehicles have been authorized and are operational since April 2024, with further assessments planned for modernized vehicles. 

The customer benefited significantly from our expert guidance, receiving precise instructions on the necessary evidence for tram approval. Our customer-orientated approach ensured that the approval was hardly delayed despite the late receipt of important information, so that the trams could be put into operation on time. This efficiency underscores the value of PROSE’s commitment to delivering timely and high-quality results.

PROSE recently tackled the persistent issue of gearbox oil leaks. Our team conducted a detailed investigation, testing various sealing methods to identify the most effective solution. 

Project Highlights: 

• In-depth Testing: Evaluated multiple sealing techniques on two gearboxes. 
• Focused Recommendations: Proposed a robust sealing strategy using an X-seal combined with dual sealant lines.

PROSE is proud to spearhead the enhancement of the Vevey depot, focusing on expanding its capacity for heavy maintenance tasks. Our recent project with MOB aimed to optimize the maintenance operations for the Vevey—Les Pléiades line, enhancing efficiency and reducing operational costs. 

What has PROSE done as part of this project?  

• Current Infrastructure Analysis: We thoroughly documented and evaluated the existing maintenance facilities at Vevey. 
• Strategic Planning: Developed potential infrastructure upgrades to enable comprehensive maintenance services on-site. 
• Customized Solutions: Produced several tailored variants to address both current and future needs of the rail line. 

Our efforts provided MOB with actionable insights and detailed plans, ensuring Vevey’s depot could handle more extensive maintenance responsibilities effectively.
