Join us on the journey of Shaping tomorrow’s mobility!
Let us show you how we can solve your needs for tomorrow’s mobility.
We are ready to welcome you to the “SWISS PAVILION” in Exhibition hall B, stand 01, at Trako fair in Gdansk, Poland. 19-22 of September.
Reach out to Christoph Gyr (christoph.gyr@prose.one) to book a meeting.
Are you ready for a unique and exhilarating transportation experience? Look no further than the iconic Wuppertal Schwebebahn Monorail, a true engineering marvel that has been captivating visitors and locals alike since its opening in 1901. PROSE was involved in the development twice.
The first time around, PROSE assumed the crucial role of overseeing the complete engineering of the primary mechanical components of the vehicle, namely the car body and the bogie. Additionally, we took charge of project management, ensuring efficient coordination throughout the process as well as defining and supervising the component tests and supporting vehicle authorization.
The second time around, we tackled a unique challenge: creating an optimized vehicle specifically tailored to their needs. To achieve this, we innovatively designed a vehicle body utilizing aluminum extrusion profiles, successfully overcoming the initial obstacle. The result was a remarkable continuous low floor design, complemented by wide-opening doors, ensuring smooth and efficient passenger flow. Moreover, these new vehicles for the Wuppertal suspension railway prioritize driver comfort, providing an elevated level of satisfaction in their operation.
Given PROSE’s extensive experience in developing mainstream and special projects of all kinds, PROSE’s development team successfully met all expectations. Our deep knowledge and proficiency in working across different cultures have proven to be invaluable assets, playing a fundamental catalyst role in the current manufacture of the vehicles in Austria, Germany and Spain.
We are excited to have reached over 15’000 followers on LinkedIn.
Thank you all. Glad to see that so many of you want to follow our journey in Shaping tomorrow’s mobility. In everything we do, we find the customized solution for you.
Let us present PROSEs biggest project throughout our 40-year history – the IC2020-modernisation project.
The project is a specific example of the integration cornerstone of PROSE.one, involving almost all units and sites within PROSE. With a successful outcome. We have used all the expertise and knowledge within PROSE, letting each team focus on what they know best.
Thanks to the project organisation, we are close to the customer, SBB Switzerland (CFF), and therefore part of the overall project team. The creation of the production documents was done directly in the IT environment of SBB.
Here is a snap-shot from last Friday and the PROSE-Sweden annual summer-party with team-challenges, laughter and joy. Hats off to the persistent crowd that challenged the heavy rain.
Here’s to more incredible events and continued success in the future!
The customer was Elektrowatt CH and the vehicles were the new Light Rail System in Hong Kong.
Our scope was to design the system and elaborate technical specifications for the turnkey project. We also evaluated the bids, made recommendations for the winning bidder, and assisted in the contractual negotiations. Our task included design and manufacturing supervision of the rolling stock, witnessing the test and commissioning of the system as well as consulting in the first operational year and advice on the system expansion.
Thanks to the in-depth know-how of the PROSE experts, that made it possible for the KCRC (Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation) to take the best-suited option for the overall LRT system.
The experience of PROSE was the key to good technical specifications for the rolling stock; realization by the contractor was possible and all technical problems could be solved on short notice, with no impact on the schedule or cost.
Using the PROSE engineers for the design approval in the construction phase eliminated potential conflicts in the interpretation of the specification.
The system, featuring 22.5 km double track with end loops and about 15 high platform stops, 70 uni-directional high-level 4-axle LRV’s, open (honor) fare system, was built in 3 years’ time. Opening (as defined in 1984) was on 08.08.1988!

Creating memories!
We will be swimming in positive vibes from our PROSE 40-years employee event for a long time to come.
Our PROSE-colored t-shirts took over Winterthur, Switzerland, for a day. Building strong teams with various activities. Together, we are Shaping tomorrow’s mobility.
Enjoy the glimpses from the event day 1
There are a lot of success stories during the 40 years of PROSE history. For the next weeks, we will highlight a selection of them.
But first, the person that is the reason PROSE was founded: our very own Bernhard Huber
40 years ago, he started the Swiss branch of today’s PROSE, with two employees, now grown into 9 sites in 6 countries. Described in his own words:
“I started with a 5-years planning and analysis of the potential problems. From the very beginning the Engineering and Consulting were the cash bringers of the company. My heart did beat for the railways (and especially for the rolling stock). I am happy and grateful to see, that the company is strong and proud today and ready “to shape tomorrow’s mobility”.
And we are truly grateful for the entrepreneurship and hard work to help bring PROSE to where it is today. It is really cool that Bernie is still committed to and engaged in PROSE!
Thank you Swissrail for organizing the Mobility Day in Baden!
It was a great day to make new contacts and to see old familiar faces. We used the opportunity to share our knowledge, how we see the trends, and work together to advance our vision of Shaping tomorrow’s mobility.
The participants were able to benefit from the versatile supporting program, which offered a platform for an interesting exchange with its presentations and company pitches on industry-relevant topics. We also contributed to the program with PROSE-employee Dr. Bernhard Frei giving a presentation on “Best practice in research collaboration from an industry perspective”.
One of the many activities we had during our 40-year employee celebration was to form our P-symbol with employees. Curious about the outcome? Here is a sneak-peak photo.
