Last week PROSE was successfully audited by SQS and SVS within the context of maintaining our certifications ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN 15085.
During the audit according EN 15085 in Winterthur, we were also able to extend our area of application to design for maintenance welding and to purchase and supply for maintenance welding.
With these confirmed certifications, we want to maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise and, in turn, secure industry standards to shape tomorrow’s mobility!

Three days full of impressions, old familiar faces, networking and interesting conversations – that was the 46th General Assembly of Swissrail Industry Association and the General Assembly of Verband öffentlicher Verkehr (VöV).
At the 46th Swissrail general meeting, Swissrail members networked the day before during a hike in the Basel countryside. In the evening, a delicious dinner was cooked together.
After the 46th General Assembly of Swissrail Industry Association, an exhibition platform and the General Assembly of Verband öffentlicher Verkehr (VöV), Federal Councillor Albert Rösti honoured the the event the following day.

The 28th IAVSD International Symposium on Dynamics of Vehicles on Roads and Track was held from the 21st to the 25th of August.
Bernhard Kurzeck represented PROSE with his presentation “Influence of the dynamic pendulum motion of a suspended monorail on the clearance requirement” which is about the current clearance verification for Wuppertal monorail.

We are shaping tomorrow’s mobility by being a mobility service provider. In our project “Feasibility study on driverless train operation (DTO)” we had the opportunity to show and observe the market within driverless operation / ATO.
The project was a cornerstone in bringing our capabilities in rolling stock operation together, both on technical as well as on operational aspects. The customer, BLT Transport AG, in Switzerland received a well-founded result based on a diversified analysis. During the realisation of the project, BLT already received an overview of the current state of the art of autonomous transport systems and of present projects. In the end PROSE developed a coordinated proposal for a step by step introduction of autonomous operation, as well as further steps required for implementation, which were coordinated with the Federal Office of Transport (FOT).

Are you ready for a unique and exhilarating transportation experience? Look no further than the iconic Wuppertal Schwebebahn Monorail, a true engineering marvel that has been captivating visitors and locals alike since its opening in 1901. PROSE was involved in the development twice.
The first time around, PROSE assumed the crucial role of overseeing the complete engineering of the primary mechanical components of the vehicle, namely the car body and the bogie. Additionally, we took charge of project management, ensuring efficient coordination throughout the process as well as defining and supervising the component tests and supporting vehicle authorization.
The second time around, we tackled a unique challenge: creating an optimized vehicle specifically tailored to their needs. To achieve this, we innovatively designed a vehicle body utilizing aluminum extrusion profiles, successfully overcoming the initial obstacle. The result was a remarkable continuous low floor design, complemented by wide-opening doors, ensuring smooth and efficient passenger flow. Moreover, these new vehicles for the Wuppertal suspension railway prioritize driver comfort, providing an elevated level of satisfaction in their operation.
Given PROSE’s extensive experience in developing mainstream and special projects of all kinds, PROSE’s development team successfully met all expectations. Our deep knowledge and proficiency in working across different cultures have proven to be invaluable assets, playing a fundamental catalyst role in the current manufacture of the vehicles in Austria, Germany and Spain.

Let us present PROSEs biggest project throughout our 40-year history – the IC2020-modernisation project.
The project is a specific example of the integration cornerstone of PROSE.one, involving almost all units and sites within PROSE. With a successful outcome. We have used all the expertise and knowledge within PROSE, letting each team focus on what they know best.
Thanks to the project organisation, we are close to the customer, SBB Switzerland (CFF), and therefore part of the overall project team. The creation of the production documents was done directly in the IT environment of SBB.
